Quick answers to common questions about Homebase Pantry.
Adding inventory
Tap the + button on the Inventory tab to add items. You can type naturally ("2 cans of black beans, exp June") or scan a receipt to add items in bulk.
Use First tab
The Use First tab surfaces everything expiring soon or flagged for priority use. Items move here automatically based on expiry dates you set.
Meal planner
The Planner tab has two modes: Calendar view (plan meals by day) and Lineup view (flexible rotating weeks). Switch with the toggle at the top.
Shopping list
Items flagged for reorder appear in the Shop tab automatically. Tap any item to check it off. Use the AI "Build from meals" button to add ingredients from your planned meals.
Account & household
Tap the + FAB and choose "Account" to manage your profile, billing, and household members. You can invite members by email from the Household section.
AI features
AI features use credits. Free accounts include a starter credit balance. Get more via the Account modal. AI can suggest meals, parse receipts, and help with smart item updates.
