Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password (passwords are never stored in plain text).
Household data you enter: Inventory items, recipes, meal plans, seed inventory, shopping lists, price book entries, activity logs, and any notes or custom categories you create. This data belongs to you.
Usage data: We may collect anonymized information about how you interact with the Service (e.g., feature usage frequency) to improve the product. This data does not identify you personally.
Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. Rootcraft does not store your full credit card details — only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Device and technical data: Standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and operating system. This is used for security and diagnostic purposes only.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Certain features use Anthropic's Claude API to process your inputs (e.g., receipt photos, text lists, recipe imports). When you use these features:
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. All data is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) — each user can only access their own records. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
While we take reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

Homebase Pantry uses browser localStorage to save user preferences (e.g., planner mode, store order). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Authentication tokens are managed by Supabase and stored securely.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
